Selecting a chandelier for a dining room is a time consuming job, from making sure that the style goes with our decor, to getting the right size fixture with the right amount of lights. Here are some tips on how to get the right chandelier for a dining room.
1. Measure the ceiling height, length and width of your room.
2. Add the width and length of the room, the number you will have is the approximate width for a chandelier in inches. Basically if your room is 12 feet in length and 14 feet in width, then the approximate size (width) of the chandelier should be 26” (inch)
3. Measure the height of your dining table (most tables are about 30” high). The chandelier should be about 36” to 40” off the table.
This basic calculation should give you an idea about how big of a chandelier you should buy for your space. Should you have any questions you can always call us for further assistance.
